Top 30 Poker Players

As you guys may or may not know, I make the majority of my money playing poker. That doesn't make me an expert on the world of high stakes poker, but it does give me a better perspective than most as to who is better than who. Obviously in a game like poker, where luck is a major part of the game, it is extremely difficult to decifer who is better than who. With that in mind this is an extremely subjective list of what I consider to be the 30 best tournament poker players in the world. Feel free to dissagree in the comment box below.

Orlando Pre Draft Camp

With the big pre draft camp looming on the horizon, here is the teams I would love to see there. I realize the big names never play, but assuming they did, these would be the teams I'd make. On a related note, I wish more top players would play at the pre draft camp. This is the way I would try to get them to, by having all elite players and few guys scrapping for their first round lives, you have big name guys with something to gain by going up against other big name guys. It is hard to blame a guy like Rodney Carney for not going to the pre draft camp, because there are no other players of his stock there, so he can only hurt his stock if he does not play well. If he plays well, it does not help him much as he is the only elite player there. If on the other hand he was going up against guys like Adam Morrison and Rudy Gay, then he has a real reason to show up as he can really help his stock a great deal with a solid showing. This of course hurts the guys trying to play their way into the first round, but that can be rememdied by using the Portsmouth Invitational like the old pre draft camp.
